Discover the authentic side of Naxos by strolling through the wonderful mainland villages of Naxos Island, each offering a glimpse into the island’s rich cultural heritage and satisfy your taste buds with local Naxian specialties.

You will start this journey from your hotel, where you will be driven towards the mountainous villages, with lush greenery, labyrinth alleys and arches, medieval towers and squares with plane trees and traditional cafes and tavernas. Your first stop will be the marble village of Apiranthos, built at 600 m altitude, which enchants visitors with its timeless beauty and rich history. Here at a local taverna you will indulge in a delightful array of appetizers, showcasing the authentic flavors of Naxian cuisine, accompanied with Greek Ouzo or Wine. The journey will continue to Filoti, a quaint village nestled amidst olive groves and scenic landscapes. There, in the main square, underneath the sprawled branches of an imposing old Platanos tree you will enjoy a delicious dinner, featuring local specialties prepared with the freshest quality ingredients from the island. You will conclude the culinary odyssey in Chalki village, the old commercial capital of the island, where you will indulge in famous Greek Spoon desserts, such as ‘Galaktoboureko’ or ‘Portokalopita’ (ie.orange pie). What a great way to end this wonderful Greek Night than a Naxian digestive drink, such as Kitron!
