Tinos Religious Experience Tour
Embark on a religious expedition, as we guide you through Tinos’ most renowned religious sites.
We will begin at the iconic and well-known church of Panagia of Tinos (Virgin Mary) in Chora, learn about its history, and witness the devotion of Christian worshippers visiting from all over the country. The next stop will be the Monastery of the Assumption of Virgin Mary (Monastery of Agia Pelagia), which was built in the 11th century and resembles a fortress, with its interior that looks like a small village and hosts a small community of Orthodox nuns.
We will continue to visit the Ursulines Monastery, which is now home to a Folklore museum. The Catholic Order of Ursulines established the monastery in 1864, and it served as both a renowned European girls boarding school and a monastery for approximately one hundred years. The rooms have been maintained in their original state, and the exhibits will take you on a journey back in time. We will pay our final visit to the Catholic church of Agios Ioannis, in Komi village, one of the majestic churches among the catholic villages of Tinos.
Whether you seek contemplation, cultural understanding or simply wish to immerse yourself in the sacred, this tour promises a soul-enriching journey through some of Tinos’ spiritual landscapes.
This tour is private for small groups of 1-9 persons and is offered in English language.
