Let us take you on an authentic journey through the picturesque island of Sifnos to discover why everyone is so charmed with this quiet, western Cycladic gem. You will begin your day by visiting the iconic monastery of Panagia Chrysopigi, one of the most famous sites and the protectress of the island.

Then you will continue to the village of Kastro, the capital of the island until 1836, proudly standing at the top of a rocky plateau with steep-sided cliffs and magnificent views of the Aegean and the surrounding islands, offering the best sunrise view if you happen to be here early morning.  Walk through this pedestrian village, narrow alleys and immerse yourself in the rich history and traditional architecture of Sifnos, where we’ll make a stop at the Archaelogical Museum and admire a display of exhibits from the 1st– 6th century BC.

Next, you will continue to the charming village of Artemonas, where you can admire the most elegant traditional old mansions with verdant gardens, built over 200 years ago and painted in traditional Cycladic patterns, which is lately gaining popularity with a growing community of authentic restaurants, pottery and jewelry shops and local flavors.

Afterwards, we will head to explore the most important archeological site of Sifnos, the Mycenean Acropolis, providing you with the essence of Sifnos’ rich cultural heritage and marvel at the findings of the well-preserved Mycenaean fortification in the Cyclades. Next to the sight, you can visit the museum which includes findings discovered during the excavations, and at the same time enjoy unique views of the Aegean and the surrounding area.

The tour comes to an end in the vibrant town of Apollonia, known for its vibrant and lively atmosphere and traditional architecture. Roam the whitewashed alleys and its main street (also known as “steno”), discover local shops, and savor the authentic flavors of Sifnos, before we take you back to your hotel.
