Black Sandy “Eros” Beach Horseback Riding Experience
Are you an adventurous spirit who loves horses? If so, we suggest you take an opportunity to get in touch with nature and experience the most scenic trail to the black EROS beach while riding a horse and admiring the Aegean views in Santorini.
This trail takes approximately 2 hours along a moderate route, suitable for anyone who would like to try out horseback riding, even for the first time.
This ride begins from Megalochori and takes you through the traditional vineyard layout, and along the south trails that lead to the quiet Eros Beach. Admire the unique Santorini scenery while exploring the small gorges and ravines sculpted into the volcanic rock. These pathways were formed by the massive eruption that defined the island. The journey ends with Eros Beach, a lengthy stretch of black sand with striking cliff formations in the background. We’ll walk up the hill and continue along the shore to get a broad perspective of the trails and beach. Frequent stops will be made in order to capture these memories of you and your horse.
This tour is private for small groups of 1 – 10 persons and is offered in English, Greek or Hungarian language.
Children (above 7 years old) are welcome to participate on a horse alone, while younger children (4 – 6 years old) can participate only when accompanied by an adult on the same horse.
Please bear in mind that the tour may be uncomfortable for people with acrophobia (if scared of heights) and is not suitable for anyone with a heart or other medical conditions.
