RESERVATION PROCESS

You can book your daily tour, multiday experience or any other activity (i.e. service) by clicking on the “Book now” button and you will be directed to the booking form and secure payment page. Once the booking is completed, you should expect to receive a confirmation from us before we charge your payment method.

We reserve the right not to confirm a reservation within forty eight (48) hours. If within such timeframe (48 hours) you have not received a confirmation of your reservation from us (an e-voucher), please consider it as being unsuccessful, in which case we will inform you of alternative options as the selected tour was no longer available at the time of the purchase, in which case you will not be charged for the service. We shall place a hold on your payment and your payment method will not be debited until we have confirmed the reservation to you. At the time of the confirmation of your booking, your payment method will be debited for the amount of your booking price.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Tours & Other services:

Our regular cancellation policy as defined below applies for any tour, activity or other service (with the exception of accommodation, ferry or air tickets) offered unless it is indicated otherwise prior to the booking. Each service provider has the right to determine their pricing as well as to adjust the cancellation policy according to the nature and availability of their service. Where strict cancellation applies, you will be notified of any deviation from the regular policy as it is defined below.

• You may cancel your reservation and still be entitled to a full refund provided your cancellation takes place up to fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the tour date or other booking of any service made through our website. For cancellations within such timeframe, no cancellation fees shall apply.

• For cancellations taking place between thirteen (13) to seven (7) calendar days prior to the tour date, you will be charged with fifty per cent (50%) of the total booking amount as cancellation fees.
• For cancellations taking place within a period that is less than six (6) calendar days prior to the tour date or Non-show, you will be charged with the total amount of the booking (100%).

Accommodation:

Our regular cancellation policy as defined below applies for any accommodation booking unless it is indicated otherwise prior to the booking:

• You may cancel your reservation and still be entitled to a full refund provided your cancellation takes place up to twenty one (21) calendar days prior to the accommodation check in date. For cancellations within such timeframe, no cancellation fees shall apply.

• For cancellations taking place between twenty (20) to fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the accommodation check in date, you will be charged with fifty per cent (50%) of the total booking amount as cancellation fees.
• For cancellations taking place within a period that is less than thirteen (13) calendar days prior to the tour date or Non-Show, you will be charged with the total amount of the booking (100%).

For activity-specific cancellations/ Strict Cancellation Policy: In case there is any deviation from the cancellation policy as stated above, you will be informed prior to the booking arrangement and once you have selected to proceed with a booking, you will have agreed to the deviation.

Ferry tickets

All ferry tickets are issued upon receiving the full payment for your booking. All ferry companies reserve the right to change their schedule at any time of which you will be informed accordingly. In case of a ferry cancellation on your side after the tickets have been issued, our regular cancellation policy will apply.

Airline tickets

All airline tickets are issued upon receiving the full payment for your airline booking. The cancellation fees may vary according to each airlines’ cancellation policy and applicable fare rules, and will be assessed per each case respectively.

By purchasing any service at www.greecehopadventures.com website, you agree that the Greece HopAdventures IKE will not refund the amount paid unless the product or service is being cancelled on our side and for reasons other than a) force majeure b) or in case your cancellation is eligible for a refund as stated above.

 Arriving late: Please note that tour guides are not allowed to wait for guests arriving late. Please make sure to make the necessary arrangements to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the tour. We are on a tight schedule with the service providers we work with. We cannot be held responsible for delays from public transport, flights or other delays in your travel time that may make you late for our tours. In case you arrive late and miss the tour (or for any other no-show reasons) you will not be refunded for the service.

Each tour or multiday experience is subject to cancellation on our behalf due to:

• Low participation: A minimum number of participants is required in order for certain services to run. If the participation number is not met, you will be notified prior to the tour of alternative days when the tour can be rescheduled for or alternative tour options that can be done on the selected date. In case the alternative option is not of interest to you, you will be fully refunded for the service cancelled.
• Weather conditions: at the day of the tour, in which you will be notified prior to the tour of alternative days when the tour can be rescheduled for or alternative tour options that can be done on the selected date. In case the alternative option is not of interest to you, you will be fully refunded for the service cancelled.
• Unexpected cancellation by Supplier: In event of unforeseen circumstances where the supplier cannot honour his commitment and provide the service as expected, you will be notified prior to the tour of alternative days when the tour can be rescheduled for or alternative tour options that can be done on the selected date. In case the alternative option is not of interest to you, you will be fully refunded for the service cancelled.

 Change of Date of Services Policy: All bookings are non-refundable beyond a certain date prior to tour date, as your space is guaranteed at the tours. We may be able to offer alternative days to attend depending on availability. If you have made any mistake in your booking details or there is a bank error that did not allow for the payment to be processed, thus you have not received the confirmation on time, it is mandatory that you notify us no later than 24 hours, in order to be able to accommodate a suitable change of your booking valid up to (6) six calendar days prior to the tour date.

Health Conditions and Allergies:  In case you have any physical, mental or other health condition, or any type of allergy (such as to cosmetics, food, etc), it is your responsibility to inform us, as well as your tour guide in advance of the activity you selected to participate to. We cannot be held responsible for any existing allergy or health problem which might be triggered by an activity that we had not been informed of. If you have any dietary restrictions whatsoever please contact us after you book through our website in order for us to try to accommodate your needs.

PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

We offer the following payment methods:

– Credit or debit cards, where you will be re-directed to our secure e-commerce payment page (Alpha Bank’s Nexi) to make your payment. In case this payment method is selected, a service fee (3% of the total amount) will be added on top, equivalent to the credit card expenses charged by our bank to process the payment via your card. Please note that any credit or debit card charges occurred during the payment are non refundable.

– Bank transfer, where you will be transferring funds from your bank account to our bank account; Please note that we are quoting and expect to receive the final amount (inclusive of all taxes) in Euros for this service. Please make sure that any additional bank fees/ expenses that may occur to complete this transaction, should be borne by the Ordering client, so please choose option “OUR” during SWIFT transfers.

Even though our website has all safety and security certificates (e.g. SSL certificate) active and in good standing, you will not be making any payment on our servers but instead, you will be directed to the secure server of the financial institution of Alpha Bank Nexi’s  https://www.nexi.gr/en/

Once your payment goes through successfully, you will be receiving the booking confirmation for your selected services as well as your booking voucher to the email that you registered in our website. This can be your personal email if you are the participant of the tour or another person’s email in case you wish somebody else to participate. It is the therefore vital that you provide us with an email that you actually use to monitor your reservation process.

PAYMENTS VIA BANK TRANSFER

In case where a payment has been made via bank transfer which is eligible for refund according to the regular cancellation policy above, please be informed that any bank fees or transaction charges occurred during the transactions are not refundable.

Please note that in case of a bank transfer, we will not be able to confirm your participation to the selected activity until the funds have cleared in our bank account. Consequently, until your payment clears in our bank, we cannot guarantee a place at your desired activity and we will not be liable for failing the activity becoming unavailable to you. Once your payment has cleared we will immediately try to book you to the activity and if we are successful, we will send you an email to confirm your reservation within 48 hours.

We will not be liable for being unable to book you to an event/activity if we had to wait for your payment to clear and there are no more places available. It is therefore not recommended to use the bank transfer payment method close to the date of the activity/ event that you want to participate to.

RISK OF LOSS

The Company, the tour operator, the service provider or the escort / guide will not be held responsible for any loss of private property in case a client forgets, loses or has his personal property stolen while on or as a result of the provision of services. Each client is solely responsible for taking good care of their property while attending a service.

ACCEPTANCE OF RISK AND ADEQUACY OF THE SERVICE

Some of the arrangements you might choose to take part in may involve a degree of personal risk. The natural environment can, at times, be hazardous and many activities, such as watersports, waterslides are activities with a risk of personal injury or death.

If you decide to take part in such activities, you accept these risks and you are responsible for your own actions. Although the supplier may provide instructions and tuition to you as part of the arrangements you book, any safety information/notices must be observed which will minimize these risks. Your booking is accepted on the basis that you understand and accept the risks involved in such activities. You agree that Greece HopAdventures IKE will not be held liable for any kind of injury or death during an activity or service booked directly with one of our travel consultants or via the website www.greecehopadventures.com. You participate in all activities at your own risk and you agree to have absolutely no claim against Greece HopAdventures IKE.

If at any time you or a member of your party feel uncomfortable or unsure about taking part in an activity, an instructor should be advised immediately. You’re under no obligation to take part in or complete activities which form part of your arrangements if you don’t feel you want to for any reason.

You must ensure to obtain suitable travel insurance for the activities you plan to take part in. Please read carefully the description of the excursions and the attractions in order to see the adequacy for you prior to the booking, and please inform us of any special medical conditions we must be aware of in order to instruct our service supplier. The service provider reserves the right not to allow you to participate in an activity in case you do not meet all the requirements or have any specific medical conditions which may cause you harm. In case the specific booking conditions are not met and we are not informed in advance of such but you still decide to book the service, Greece HopAdventures IKE is not held responsible for your inability to participate nor is entitled to reimburse you for the unused service.

SERVICES DESCRIPTION

Greece HopAdventures IKE and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible in their product descriptions. However, www.greecehopadventures.com does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Greece HopAdventures IKE itself is not exactly as described, the company, the tour operator, the escort or the service provider will not be held responsible.

Prices, discounts or promotions for the services listed in the website may change anytime without notice. In case you seek a refund on a service you have booked through our website and provided that your booking is eligible for such refund, you will be refunded with the amount that you paid upon submission of your reservation and not according to the current price.

FORCE MAJEURE

All boat tours are weather permitting. In case we are not in a position to provide a tour or service due to weather or any unforeseeable event that is out of our control we shall not be liable. We conduct tours rain or shine. You are advised to carry an umbrella and dress appropriately for weather conditions. If the tour started, and in the event of severe lightning, your tour guide will suspend the tour at his/her discretion. If tour guide did not suspend the tour but you do not want to continue with the tour due to rain, you will not get reimbursed for your booking. You are responsible for yourself and your own safety. We cannot be held responsible for your personal safety.

Greece HopAdventures IKE is not responsible for the foods or beverages consumed on its tours. Greece HopAdventures IKE acts solely as agent in arranging daily tours or multiday activities, transportation, accommodation, and other services and does not assume liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default of any company, organization or person engaged in transporting passengers, rendering service, or carrying out arrangements for any tour or by the act of default of any restaurant or shop or its employees.

REVIEWS, COMMENTS, FEEDBACK, AND OTHER CONTENT

Visitors are encouraged to post reviews, comments, and other content; submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of “spam.” You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a card or other content. What personal information do we obtain?

The data we process are those we obtain from the bookings notified by tour operators and/or travel agencies or other tourist companies, for example cruises or hotels at destination that market tourist services or products to end customers. I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in this activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity.

I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by GREECE HOPADVENTURES IKE, contractors, associates, organizers or activity operators or guides, of the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity.

In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: GREECE HOPADVENTURES IKE and/or its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, associates, operators, guides, activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;

(B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether it has been caused by negligence, or as a result of an accident, or due to a health problem that occurs to me right before, on or after any activity.

I acknowledge GREECE HOPADVENTURES IKE and its contractors, promoters, sponsors, employees, independent associates, activity operators, activity guides, directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for any errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf.

I acknowledge that this activity may involve a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers.

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity.

I understand while participating in this activity, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.

The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND UPON PAYMENT AND RECEIPT OF THE VOUCHER I FULLY COMMIT TO THE TERMS OF THIS LIABILITY WAIVER, BOOKING CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY, WHICH IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SERVICE, SAID ACCEPTANCE IS GRANTED ON BEHALF OF ALL PARTICIPANTS.

IN CASE OF ANY PARTICIPANT BEING UNDER THE AGE OF 18 (EIGHTEEN), UPON PAYMENT AND RECEIPT OF THE VOUCHER I CERTIFY THAT I AM THE PARENT OR THE LEGAL GUARDIAN AND I COMMIT TO THE TERMS HEREIN ON BEHALF OF THE UNDERAGE PARTICIPANT.

IN ANY CASE, BY PAYING FOR THE SERVICE AND RECEIPT OF THE VOUCHER, IT HAS THE SAME EFFECT AS PHYSICALLY SIGNING THIS LIABILITY WAIVER FORM.
